CoSafe is the City of Cockburn’s Security and safety service operating throughout its 23 suburbs. Our Officers provide an extra set of eyes and ears throughout the community to ensure a safe environment can be enjoyed by all.

Job Information:

• Competitive hourly rate + penalties + 11% superannuation
• 12hr shifts, week on week off rosters. One week of days, week off, followed by one week of nights, week off)
• Work times: 06:00 – 18:00 and 18:00 – 06:00 (30 min unpaid break)
• Roster: Wednesday to Tuesday
• Location: City of Cockburn
• Assignment type: Full-Time

Your duties as a Security and Community Engagement Officer include:

• Support community relations as a representative of CoSafe
• Collaborate with WAPOL and DFES to support the community in emergency situations
• Investigate queries from the public
• Monitor for antisocial and suspicious behavior
• Maintain safety in the community
• Generate reports and logs
• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols within the community
• Work as part of a team and autonomously

To be eligible for this role candidates will require:

• Valid Western Australian Drivers’ licence 
• Valid Western Australian Security Officer licence 
• Provide First Aid certificate
• Willing to obtain Police Clearance
• Effective communication skills
• Conflict management and self-regulation skills
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
