We currently have permanent and casual opportunities available for experienced Security Officers / control Room Operators to work across our prestigious Education Sector Contract within the South East Suburbs Victoria, you will be working as part of a customer service focused professional security team.
About the role:
The successful candidates will find themselves in a state of the art Control Room in a key position delivering the safety and security for the biggest education facility within the South East
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor screens and CCTV to ensure the safety of all personnel
- Respond to critical incidents and simultaneously prepare written reports
- Monitor and respond to internal and external alarms
- Interact with key managers including emergency services, client representatives and Security Officers via phone, radio and intercom systems.
- Take control in day-to-day and emergency situations
- Provide remote access to buildings via building access control systems
- Provide excellent customer service
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Current Valid Security License with functions – Control Room Monitoring & Unarmed Security Officer
- Excellent presentation and professionalism
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- High level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, Access Control systems)
- Good typing skills
- Reactive and quick thinker and the ability to show initiative
- Physically fit to conduct foot patrols
- A sharp eye for detail
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Security Operations
- Current Security licence; including Control Room endorsement
- Current First Aid
- Current drivers licence
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Previous Control Room experience will be highly regarded
