Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to support the WE Technology team. If you have agency experience in technology, business or consumer brands and want to join an energetic and nurturing team, this is the opportunity for you!
The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for carrying out activities to assist the team and help global and local clients achieve their communication goals and deliver the highest quality of work and outstanding results.
The key purpose of the position is to support media campaigns, product launches, execute seasonal campaigns, and contribute to campaign development and account reporting.
The full-time, permanent position is located in either Melbourne or Sydney, with fully flexible and hybrid working.
Responsibility:
- Drafting PR documents such as media releases, factsheets, pitches and coverage reports/progress documents.
- Oversee and reinforce consistent adherence to media management processes: media lists, coverage monitoring, and industry coverage trends.
- Independently liaise and build relationships with clients and key journalists/influencers.
- Report to and communicate with clients on allocated tasks as appropriate: including attending client/supplier meetings (where relevant) and provision of / or editing timely and accurate contact reports, evaluation reports, WIP documents, etc.
- Identify and create content for key audiences, including internal and external stakeholders.
- A deep understanding of the media landscape and reporting cycles to place stories, establish interviews and tailor media materials for specific media outlets.
- Attention to detail and an eye for identifying topical news angles and developing thought leadership content such as bylines and blog posts.
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field is preferred, or the equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in PR, preferably in an agency setting.
- Superior writing skills and the ability to build communication strategies.
- Advance skills in PowerPoint, including creating pith decks with strong attention to detail.
- Sound planning, organisational and decision-making skills – the ability to juggle many projects/activities simultaneously.
