An opportunity for an experienced Senior or Financial Accountant has become available to join a global business, based in Perth CBD for an ongoing opportunity to consult their finance team.
Due to a period of change, the business is looking for a qualified professional who can help implement structure and processes to their accounting team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for heading the finance department and reporting directly to the CFO. This client is looking for someone with inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas.
Overseeing a small team of Accounts Assistants your duties will include:
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with established schedules and with input from the rest of the accounting department
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Delegate financial responsibilities to accounting team
- Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits
- Supporting clerical team
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance
Requirements
- CPA or CA qualification is mandatory.
- 5 years of proven experience in senior accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Previous experience with Pronto is an advantage
