The role…
We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The successful applicant will support the directors and senior staff with a variety of work including:
- Preparation of financials for a variety of entities in accordance with regulatory, accounting and financial reporting standards
- Preparation of Tax Returns for a variety of entities including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Preparation of Tax reconciliations and workpapers
- Liaise with clients, managers and directors in relation to queries and client advise & strategic planning
- Management reporting, growth and strategic planning advice to clients
- Ensuring client compliance including preparation of IAS, BAS, STP and payroll tax
- Support clients with selection and implementation of software systems
About you…
- At least 5 years’ experience in a public accounting practice in Australia
- CA / CPA qualified
- Experience with Xero accounting software (client & practice accounting packages)
- Experience preparing financial statements & tax returns for clients in a range of industries and all entities
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Drive for continuous improvement
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of the Australian taxation system
- A team player who embraces diversity and working as part of a team
