Senior Accountant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant - Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in overseeing Management accounts and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee management accounting.
• Prepare statutory accounts for various entities and assist with external audits and provide guidance on the correct application of accounting standards.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.
• Manage month-end processes and regular financial tasks.
• Prepare BAS statements and assist with tax-related responsibilities.

Requirements:
Essential:  

• Chartered Accountant/Certified Practising Accountant qualification with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in preparing or auditing general-purpose financial reports (IFRS).
• Attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Proactive self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a tight controls environment.
• Working knowledge of financial systems such as PeopleSoft or other large ERPs
• Experience in a complex reporting environment.
