Lee and Alexander is a trusted and well-established practice in Parramatta wanting to grow and expand our tax compliance and advisory services for our clients. 

Most of our clients are small to medium family businesses and self-managed super funds (SMSF). Our clients are well established and are long term clients, from a variety of industries such as medical, construction, professionals, real estate agents, retail and IT. We often deal directly with the owners as they see us as an essential resource and guide to help them understand what their financial and tax obligations are, so that we can help them to grow their business.

POSITION

We are seeking a Senior Accountant/Supervisor with extensive experience in an Australian Tax Practice. This role will be responsible for managing the compliance work for a portfolio of business clients and ensuring work is completed effectively and efficiently. This is a supervisory role responsible for a small accounting team and reporting directly to the Manager and Director.

CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Over 4 years of experience within Australian Public Practice
• Qualification as a CA/CPA within Business Services and Tax
• Experience preparing tax returns such as individual, partnership, company, trust and self-managed superfunds, financial statements, fringe benefits income tax returns, tax planning figures & analysis, and various tax reports 
• Supervisory experience in supporting and reviewing other accountants in the team, both here and overseas
• A strong track record within SME accounting and tax advisory
• Solid experience within SMSF accounting 
• Excellent knowledge of the various tax acts, both State and Federal, as well as other corporate requirements e.g. payroll tax, fringe benefits tax, ASIC and WorkC
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Class Super, and Xero Practice Manager would be beneficial
• Excellent planning and time management skills with an ability to manage competing priorities
• Reliable, accurate and take pride in your attention to detail in all matters
• Committed to meet deadlines, well organised and disciplined
