Your day as a Senior Advisor

As a Senior Policy Advisor within the Women’s Economic Outcomes team, you will take lead in designated projects and offer specialised advice on policies concerning women’s Economic Outcomes and gender equality, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative analysis. 

Your responsibilities will entail collaboration with NSW Treasury teams, various government agencies, and counterparts in other Australian jurisdictions to advance projects and enact pivotal reforms. This role fosters a collaborative, matrix-style working environment within the team.

Achieve success as a Senior Advisor

In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW. 

You will be successful in this role if you are: 

  • Experienced in providing social policy and economic advice
  • Skilled in project management and project support
  • Confident conducting research and analysing economic and financial data.
  • Have excellent communication skills that will enable you to clearly convey technical information.
  • Able to function independently.
  • Qualified in social policy, law, economics or in a related discipline. Or have demonstrated professional experience and training in the relevant fields.
  • Knowledge and understanding of NSW government policies and programs is highly regarded.

Eligibility
