The primary purpose of this role is to provide actuarial services to the Finance division in relation to business steering, reporting, planning and forecasting.You'll be responsible for
- Ensure timely completion of the monthly reserving of claims liabilities and related items.
- Collaborate with critical stakeholders across the business (senior leadership, Technical, Claims, Distribution, Finance) to drive meaningful insights in performance and assess the impact on future profitability across all Allianz portfolios.
- Provide input into the planning and forecasting process.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation, as well as broader Allianz Australia projects and initiatives, reinforcing the Agile way of working.
- Contribute to the development, improvement and implementation of actuarial reporting processes and risk identification.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial frameworks and experience in a general insurance actuarial role.
- Fully or partly qualified Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA) or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
- Rigorous focus on quality, accuracy and on time delivery of work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and empower people to develop individual and team potential.
