The Opportunity
An exciting career opportunity available for an experienced ESG Analyst to join TelstraSuper’s ESG Investment Team. Reporting to Head of ESG, this role will play a pivotal part in integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into the fund’s investment processes through research, engagement, and data analysis. This role would also collaborate with internal and external investment managers to help develop the funds sustainable investment approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ESG policies and procedures and ensure all documents are kept up to date.
- Assist with the collection, collation and analysis of ESG data for compliance with reporting obligations.
- Assist with the preparation of internal and external ESG reporting and surveys (e.g. PRI, member update, climate report).
- Conduct ESG reviews prior to the appointment of new investment managers and conduct a periodic assessment of their ESG approaches after their appointment.
- Assist with engagement activities with ASX-listed investee companies and proxy voting in collaboration with the internal investment team, external engagement partners and investment managers.
- As required, engage with industry bodies such as ACSI, UNPRI, IGCC, Climate Action100+, RIAA, and third-party ESG advisors and service providers.
About You
As an enthusiastic advocate of ESG practices, you possess remarkable quantitative and interpersonal abilities, complemented by strong data analysis, research, and problem-solving skills. Your collaborative spirit, keen attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for thriving in this role.
Additionally, You Have
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Sustainability (or similar).
- Postgraduate studies (attained or being completed), such as a master's degree in sustainability areas, would be highly desirable.
- 3+ years’ experience working in a similar ESG analyst role would be highly advantageous.
