In joining the Insurance Pricing Team, you will be joining a collaborative team that is highly motivated to achieve its goals. The team is focused on delivering key pricing insights to ensure continued profitable growth of the AXA XL Insurance portfolio, and places high importance on developing talent within the team to deliver the best outcomes for AXA XL’s customers and stakeholders.
The Senior Analyst role will be aligned to the Asia Pacific pricing team.

Our Pricing Team is involved in a wide variety of projects, including pricing large and complicated accounts, analysing and advising on delegated authority portfolios, creating and developing pricing tools and wider projects such as portfolio management and planning. Our everyday involvement throughout the markets we support helps us influence and shape the performance of the business.
Working as part of a global team you will work with underwriters, management and senior actuarial team members on a daily basis.
What will your essential responsibilities include?
· Provide pricing support to underwriters through both individual case pricing and pricing tool development in collaboration with central product actuarial team and local underwriters,
· Provide analytical support across multiple lines for business including Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, Specialty products, along with binder business and multi-line coverages
· Specialised pricing support to coverholders including actuarial pricing of new and renewal binders, segmentation reviews of portfolios including proposals for loss ratio improvement, performing quarterly binder analyses and communication of results, building and parameterising rating models, and use of and development of Power BI and R as display tools
· Provide analytical support to management and underwriters, including but not limited to portfolio analysis, model review and actuarial due diligence on M&A
· Produce recommendations for the base loss ratio as part of the business/strategic planning exercises
· Audit the rate change and profitability measures being recorded
· Ensure Regional Actuaries and as appropriate other members of the actuarial team are kept fully aware of any key issues and related developments
· Ensure Continuing Professional Development standards are monitored and appropriate.
Finally, and in addition to the above key accountabilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.
You will report to the Head of Pricing APAC in Sydney.
Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
· Previous 4+ years experience of non-life Insurance Pricing, particularly in P&C lines
· Working knowledge of programming in SQL, R or Python
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to collaborate across teams
· Enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn and develop
· Making good progress through the actuarial exams with intention to qualify
