The Firm & The Role
Our client is a leading international law firm with a phenomenal reputation in the Commercial Litigation space. Always topping the legal tables, this team's reputation means it is the 'go to' for high value, multi-party complex disputes. These are the disputes that you will read about in the media.
Given how busy the team is, and in-line with the firm's overall growth strategy, the partners are looking to recruit a talented commercial litigator at either the Senior Lawyer level or Senior Associate level.
As a senior litigator within the team you will be given high levels of autonomy and responsibility. You will also be mentoring more junior lawyers.
The litigation matters are complex, always interesting and career defining. A flavour of the kind of disputes you will be working on are:y
- Financial services & regulatory disputes and investigations
- Corporate and share-holder disputes
- Breach of high value contracts
- Class actions
- Trade practices disputes
- Consumer disputes
- Breach of equitable duties
- Insolvency related disputes
- Fraud and white collar crime disputes
About You
You will have at least 3 years post admission experience in the area of commercial disputes from a reputable law firm. You will also have:
- strong technical skills, commercial acumen and excellent advisory skills
- highly developed organisational skills
- first rate communication and interpersonal skills
- the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- drive, enthusiasm and ambition
