About the role
Our friendly and talented Corporate and Commercial team has an opening for an Associate or Senior Associate with drive and the capacity to succeed.
Having been recognised for the last 3 years running as a finalist for Commercial Team of the Year in the Lawyers Weekly, Australian Law Awards, this is a chance to work with our talented Corporate and Commercial team.
While this role is based in our Sydney CBD office, at Bartier Perry we all have the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely.
We are looking for a lawyer with 4+ years PQE of broad Corporate and Commercial experience to join this driven team led by highly respected and involved partners.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Approximately 4+ years PQE
Experience in M&A, shareholder deeds, corporate advisory and restructuring
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Strong academic results
Strong legal technical skills
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage workflow
An interest in learning about our clients and their business.

About the role Our friendly and talented Property team has an opening for an Associate or Senior Associate with drive and the capacity to succeed. This is an exciting opportunity to hit the ground running and cement a career in this busy practice. This is a full-time role.
While this role is based in our Sydney CBD office, at Bartier Perry we all have the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely.
About you
Our ideal candidate possesses:
5 + years PQE with predominant experience in conveyancing, leasing and other property transactions in NSW
Experience using the PEXA platform
Experience in dealing with easement matters, and various applications under the Roads Act 1993 and Local Government Act 1993
Experience in Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991
A passion for property law
Experience acting for Government clients
Sound understanding of regulatory matters and strong client facing capabilities
Experience and proven ability to delegate to junior staff and supervise
Strong work ethic and ability to manage competing priorities
Strong analytical and research skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
You will be a valued member of a team where practitioners are encouraged to be responsible for their own matters and where they are given autonomy. Key areas of the Property and Planning practice which you will be exposed to include:
Residential and commercial conveyancing
Retail and commercial leasing
Retirement village transactions
Acting for state and local government authorities on the compulsory acquisition of land
Easements
You will also be expected to engage in the team’s business development program. This will involve attending and presenting at client facing events, and drafting bulletins and client updates.
