The Perth office was established in 2016 by one of Perth's most experienced liquidator's and due to continued growth, Worrells Perth is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team of insolvency and restructuring professionals.
The Opportunity
This role will see you working with a close-knit team, ensuring you get practical on the job training at the highest level as you transition your audit skills into the field of insolvency and restructuring.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including directors, shareholders, advisors and creditors.
- Insolvency Appointments: Help lead insolvency appointments, such as administration, liquidation, Small Business Restructure (SBR) and informal restructuring. Day to day tasks include, asset realisation, assisting with sale of business and preparation of information memorandums and assisting with the trade on of destressed businesses.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial assessments to identify potential breaches, insolvent trading and other antecedent transactions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including creditors, shareholders, employees and legal professionals, including preparing reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
We are Looking For someone who:
- Has 3 or more years professional experience in audit
- Who is qualified or currently studying CA/CPA
- Has a strong commercial acumen & attention to detail
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
