Our client is a government organisation based in Melbourne’s south east. They have a great opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst with demonstrated payroll implementation experience to join an HRIS transformation program and implementation of an iChris payroll system including Staff Kiosk.
- Narre Warren location with flexible/activity-based arrangements
- 3 month initial contract with rolling future extensions likely
- Daily rate of $800 plus super
The role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support the implementation of the iChris payroll system including Staff Kiosk, as well as migration of data to the new SaaS environment, integration between HR systems, and decommissioning of existing modules where applicable. Responsibilities will include:
- Conduct user research to identify and assess customer requirements using a variety of methods, including workshops and interviews
- Provide a conduit between business areas and project teams, closely aligning corporate strategy with specific business needs
- Interpret and translate customer needs into business requirements and technology needs
- Simplify information and decipher technical jargon to support stakeholders to understand
- Scope and document business requirements for new systems or system improvements
- Document technical requirements for technology solutions and integrations
- Participate in functional, user experience and user acceptance testing as required
- Support business transition and help to establish and embed changes as required
- Support development of handover artifacts to enable successful operational support
About you
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst
- Previous payroll implementation experience
- Technical knowledge of systems including TechnologyOne, and iChris or other similar payroll systems
- Ability to map and document business processes, and specify technology requirements for a payroll implementation
- Excellent workshop facilitation skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively translate technical concepts into clear, non-technical terms for diverse stakeholders
