- You get that projects are only the beginning of a technology implementation and the supportability and lifecycle of solution (including the support teams that nurture and grow the solution after a project delivers) is paramount to a successful project definition of done.
- You might be Agile, but you appreciate and recognise the place of knowledge documentation so that your team can be accountable for a solution and not just you as a "Single point of Success".
- You don't shy away from working with multiple teams, projects or personalities. You are self-motivated and know how to balance your workload and communicate when you are over or under capacity.
- You are well known for delivering the results on time, closely aligned to what you estimated before taking on the next challenge.
- You love a good data dashboard in Power BI and can build dashboards that paint a story for Executives. You might also be familiar with .NET applications, the process of upgrading existing applications or decommissioning out of lifecycle applications.
The Senior Business/Functional Analyst works both independently and in teams comprised of functional and technical staff, leverages Agile practices, defines detailed requirements and acceptance criteria (Features and Stories), working with developers and testers, and helping deliver the enhancements with knowledge continuity handover for support teams. The Senior Business/Functional Analyst will be required to report regularly on assigned tasks and sub-projects, to effectively engage and communicate with staff at all levels across the University.
As a senior member of Student Experience, this role will include some task-based staff supervision, the ability to independently lead initiatives and Lead the Student Experience BA/FA Practice playing an active role in building a Community of Practise for sharing knowledge and skills with other Business Analysts.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
- Extensive experience in stakeholder management, requirements gathering and analysis, business process development and use case development.
- Strong knowledge of the SDLC and involvement across the entire project lifecycle Consultative and open minded, with highly effective communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills Excellent workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience revitalizing, setting up or ability to lead a Community of Practice for BA/FA knowledge sharing and member upskilling.
- Demonstrated ability to take on accountability for complex pieces of work and work autonomously Flexible, able to adapt to change quickly and work with some ambiguity, yet still delivering quality outcomes.
- Demonstrate any prior knowledge or experience with corporate data analysis, streamlining and migration, with tool and techniques that may have used. Good mix of Business analysis and technical analysis skills 2-3 years of experience working in Agile methodology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as BA or FA Experience with setting up new data suites aligning to existing governance/cleansing/policy practices and setting up visualization and reporting dashboards with Power BI.
