Primary Purpose of Role
As a Client Executive the primary purposeof the role is to develop and maintain client focus and maximum sales growth throughretaining and building on existing client relationships, and by generating newbusiness opportunities
Key Accountabilities
- Managing long term relationships with key clients who are actively involved with the organisation’s insurance products, services and solutions
- Developing and maintaining meaningful working relationships clients and underwriters
- Maintaining an awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters and assist claims personnel in the negotiation of equitable claims settlements on behalf of clients
- Ensuring client needs are identified and met by taking a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients
- Implementing account retention and defence strategies
- Investigating and pursuing new business opportunities
- Developing relationships collaborating with branch network and insurers to deliver solutions and outcomes designed to meet client needs
- Assist and or initiate with the preparation, implementation, management and achievement of business plans, budgets and goals
- Mentoring Assistant Account Executives and Account Executives in their professional development and development of renewal and broking strategies
- Debtor management
- Ensuring compliance of systems and processes with the Financial Services Reform Act and other relevant legislation
- Promoting the organisaiton and its related products and services including cross-selling when opportunities arise through contact with clients

- Possess and apply a thorough technical knowledge of relevant lines of insurance and associated legislation
- Ensure 100% accuracy of documentation and policies for all clients and also for internal procedures
- Good understanding and knowledge of insurance industry and trends
- Strong computer literacy as well as organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication

Qualifications & Education
- Dip Fin Services or equivalent tertiary qualifications desirable
- Relevant and demonstrated industry experience, either insurance or banking industry
- Essential Tier 1 qualification (AU)
