Detailed DescriptionAbout the RoleThe Senior Clinical Health Simulation Technician is accountable to provide extensive expertise in the use and implementation of a broad range of simulation technologies that facilitate immersive learning experiences for students within the Clinical Health Simulation Laboratories in the Faculty of Health.This role will provide support to academic staff to enhance the learning outcomes of clinical subjects through the integration of simulation technologies, oversee the Clinical Health Simulation Engineering Internship Program, and contribute to the health and safety of staff and students who utilize the Clinical Heath Simulation Laboratories.In this role, you will:
- Act as an expert resource in patient simulators, task trainers, hospital equipment and simulation AVS technology available within the Clinical Health Simulation Laboratories
- Be responsible for relationship management with all external and internal stakeholders regarding simulation equipment technical troubleshooting and maintenance
- Work alongside Clinical Simulation Officers to set up complex clinical scenarios utilizing various simulation equipment, technology, and strategy
- Be responsible for internship recruitment biannually via UTS Careerhub, including the arrangement of interviews and reference checks in collaboration with the Manager, Simulation and Laboratories
- Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, analytical and risk management skills, including the ability to proactively identify issues, provide advice and exercise sound judgment within the area of responsibility
