Your role
The Senior Adviser Communications and Engagement is a dynamic role that works across a broad range of communications, marketing and engagement activities to support the SEC's priorities and programs.
This position will be suitable for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience in digital channels, social media management and strategy, content development, campaign delivery, events and sponsorships.
This role can be based in either our Melbourne CBD office or our regional office located in Morwell.
What you will do:
- Work with a wide range of stakeholders to develop multi-channel communication strategies and campaigns.
- Plan and execute content for digital media, social media, websites, publications and stakeholder events.
- Support SEC's participation in a range of community and stakeholder events.
- Write key messages, social media content, website materials, fact sheets, video briefs and event briefs.
- Support the continuous improvement of the SEC website and the growth of SEC social channels.
Must have specialist / technical expertise / qualifications:
- Experience developing and delivering communications and engagement strategies.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience producing high quality communications materials for target audiences, including through traditional and social media and digital platforms.
- Experience delivering effective campaigns.
- Experience delivering high-quality public and stakeholder events.
- You are experienced working on high-impact government projects.
- Exposure to the energy sector and understanding of energy transition issues is highly desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism or other relevant degrees is desirable.
