- Salary range of $120,859 to $133,183 plus super and leave loading
The Senior Communications Advisor for Aboriginal Programs provides communications support for the within the Water Group. They will develop, facilitate and implement communications plans and activities that are fit for purpose for Aboriginal/First Nations people and support the delivery of water programs and initiatives. This includes providing support, advice and the production of high-quality content and collateral that meets customer and community needs.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have a sensitivity to and understanding of Aboriginal/First Nations culture and an excellent understanding of Aboriginal community governance and structures.
With strong verbal and written communication skills, you have the demonstrated ability to translate complex information into clear and simple concepts that meet stakeholder information needs.
You will also have experience in developing communication strategies in an environment of competing priorities and often conflicting views and interests of multiple stakeholders, to enhance their experience and perception of DCCEEW.
You will be self-motivated and have a genuine interest in maintaining a broad knowledge of current departmental initiatives, objectives and programs to assist with content development.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field communications, business, marketing or equivalent skills and/or relevant industry experience.
