Senior Contracts Officer - 4 x Opportunities
Organisation/Entity: Transport For NSW
Job category: Projects
Sydney, NSW, AU, 2020
Job reference number: 92202
Employment type: Fixed Term Full-Time
Salary range: $113121.0-$126695.0
You can be part of the team that enables significant service improvements for our people.
You’re called upon to help decision makers identify the options that best match their objectives. This is your opportunity to deliver exceptional services to the people of NSW, create innovative solutions, and foster strong partnerships.
In this role, you'll:
Assist in the development and implementation of contract management processes and strategies for bus services within Greater Sydney, including the roll-out of our Zero Emission Buses, and actively manage strategic and transactional aspects of contract management. You will assist in leading end to end contract management activities to ensure that contracts are consistent with government priorities, Transport for NSW strategic directions, and value for money options for our customer.
These roles involve regularly interfacing with our bus operators, partnering with them to ensure adherance to KPI's and to keep abreast of emerging issues. You will partner across boundaries both internally and externally, including participating in meetings and forums with service providers and industry representatives, to develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with transport service providers, other areas within TfNSW.
These are not your average Contract Management roles, as you will be required to engage with our suppliers on a daily basis to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.
We currently have 4 x Temporary, Full Time positions available up to November 2026. We support hybrid working, with the main office hub being Elizabeth Street, Sydney office.
For more information on these positions and business unit, view the role description.
About you
You have solid experience in contract management ideally within an operational environment, and you have exposure to supplier-facing engagement. Experience matters most, but qualifications in procurement, law, commerce, business or a related field will be highly regarded.
In addition to experience you will have exceptional communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, be highly analytical, and have a solid working knowledge of contract principles. You’re a patient and adaptable person who can manage competing priorities and influence outcomes.
As these roles require regular engagement with our operators, you will have the ability to build strong, lasting relationships and take a collaborative approach to achieving the best outcomes for our customers. Whilst contract management processes are in place and will be followed in these roles, a key focus is supplier engagement, so it is imperative that you have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in partnership wth our suppliers.
