Opportunity to work on critical data analysis for the Reserve Bank of Australia, leveraging novel data that will be core to assessing the information practices of the nation's central bank.
Your role
The occupant of this role will be engaged in the capture, governance, maintenance and analysis of novel datasets that assist the Reserve Bank in the management of its information assets. Your work will help enable the Reserve Bank to manage its information so that it improves the organisation's efficiency, reduces risk and supports compliance with both internal and external obligations. You will be familiar with the implications of changes in technology for the capture of information and information management practices. Your assessment of the evolving information landscape in the organisation will form an input to development of an information management strategy.
In this role you will:
- Independently assess and document current data collection, analysis and visualisation for reporting to stakeholders, including high-level governance committees.
- Transform data from multiple sources using R programming to produce automated data analytics, visualisations and statistics.
- Propose and deliver creative solutions to optimise the use of data to increase business efficiency and reduce time to achieve insights.
- Ensure ongoing data integrity and resolve data integrity issues in collaboration with relevant teams.
To be successful in this critical role you will:
- Experience designing and developing efficient code, functions and scripts that leverage data from multiple sources using R programming language, with SQL programming skills also desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in data extraction, manipulation and data management.
- Advanced knowledge of database and business intelligence concepts and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
