The Senior Data analyst role will be a key source of information relation to the manner in which data is defined, transformed, used and reported for the Enterprise Services team and in particular initially within the CPS 230 Program. The person in this role will be a Data SME and able to understand data structures in complex environments and how they can be communicated with other teams with a solutioon mindset. These tasks can be performed from a diverse range of perspectives including Waterfall, Agile, and/or business process management considered from a technology perspective.
CPS 230 Operational Risk Management looks to strengthen operational resilience and reduce the impact of disruptions on customers, market participants and the financial system. It looks to ensure critical operations are maintained through severe business disruptions and risks arising from the use of service providers, including fourth parties, are considered and managed effectively. The regulation also consolidates and streamlines existing prudential standards.
To enable this transformation, there is a need to uplift our technology tooling, monitoring and reporting capabilities to align to CPS230 requirements. This will require the design and implementation of an effective solution to enable data and information flow for complete visibility of critical operations including consideration for and not limited to key systems such as Coupa, JUNO, Alfabet and SNOW. This requires review of existing monitoring and alerting capabilities which validates the operational status of each technology appliance, servicing a critical operation and will also leverage existing reporting platforms where required
The program is currently in the discovery phase, which provides an excellent opportunity for the candidate to lead the data management processes as well as input into the ways of working as a program.
They are responsible for:
- Data collection, Data analysis, Data modelling, Data Risk Management, Data Governance & Reporting.
- Working with stakeholders as directed to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate data requirements for technology projects changes.
- Completing discovery of data elements for projects including criticality assessment, identifying risks, applying controls and raising any gaps and issues for CDE’s with relevant owners including DDO delegates.
- Analysing data outcomes to determine and report on the quality of the data and communicate to stakeholders the results in a meaningful way.
- Complete complex business and technical data lineage activities for data traceability of data elements inluding documentation
- Can manage their work across multiple streams of work and projects, interpreting and understanding the impact that data elements has to each phase.
- Be able to understand and clearly atriculate the role data elements play from origination through to delivery.
- Works with the entire Enterprise Services and wider Technology team to develop appropiate requirements and interpret into end to end design and development.

What do I need?
To be set up for success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of Credit Risk domain as well as risk models and business rules
- Extensive background in Data Analysis & reporting, Data Modelling, Data Risk Management and Governance experience
- Extensive experience in data collection, analysis and reporting using coding languages and tools like SQL, Python, M, DAX, Tableau, Power BI and Snow.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience desirable
- Desired business and/or technology tertiary qualifications
- Experience working in an Agile project delivery enviroment and tools
- Self starting/motivated approach to problem solving, who can think outside the box and is solution orientated
- A strong understanding of technology and business systems strategically and operationally
- Knowledge of project management disciplines and financial services
