The role
Following our continued growth and success wining and positioning ourselves to deliver current and future major Transport Infrastructure projects, we are currently looking for a Principal / Senior Associate Engineer with 15+ years' experience to work with our collaborative Transport Infrastructure (Roads & Highways + Rail) teams. Help us deliver some of Victoria’s most significant infrastructure projects and support SMEC’s impressive growth plans from our offices in Melbourne.
Suitable applicants will be/have:

• Design Manager –

• Oversight of engineering design for projects and design packages to meet the requirements of the client and SMEC
• Build and maintain strong and effective client relationships through targeted activities
• Effective management and leadership of the Design team to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development
• Project Manager –

• Provide project management and/or project governance of projects to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness and quality
• Build and maintain strong and effective client relationships through successful project delivery and targeted activities
• Contribute to providing leadership to employees on the project to ensure project team cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development

*All of the above would have had experience working on major Transport Infrastructure projects.
