About the role
We are currently seeking a Senior Document Controller for one of our high profile Civil/Rail Projects in Perth. This role is permanent and full time and will be located at the Armadale project office. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise. The role has flexibility to work from home 2 days per week,
Key responsibilities
- Expedite the review and approval of documentation, including designs, procedures, instructions, product certification and records.
- Plan, supervise and record document flow to and from all necessary parties, including clients, sub-contractors and the project office. Issue and track location of all documents and drawings. Issue transmittal letters and receipts concerning the documents in circulation.
- Remove obsolete documents from distribution and use.
- Coordinate storage and archiving of project and organisational records.
- Participate in the planning of projects as required.
- Assist wider team members with system issues, document formation and other process requirements.
About you
- Confident in taking the lead to make 'Best for Project' Document Control decisions and providing Document Control subject matter expert advice.
- Document Control experience in an Engineering / Construction environment
- Proven experience as a Manager of a team of Document Controllers.
- Experience with Document Management systems (Asite or TeamBinder etc)
- A detailed understanding of Document Control principles and processes and their application to:
- Design, delivery, redline and as-built.
- EDMS/IMS configuration and management.
- Workflow management.
- Vendor data management.
