Job description

HEO7 $95,017 to $106,270 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation.

Full time, fixed term position for 24 months - available immediately.

Education Quality, which sits within the Student Learning remit, supports a transformational educational experience at the University of Adelaide, delivering robust systems for quality assurance, educational policy and compliance, accreditation services and course and program development. It monitors and evaluates performance against quality indicators and the impact of strategic initiatives and ensures that offerings are aligned with teaching excellence, delivers induction and continuing professional development for teachers and recognition for teaching excellence.

Under limited direction, the Senior Educational Quality Officer contributes to the University’s quality assurance frameworks and undertakes research and analysis for a range other quality and review projects and responsibilities. In this highly fulfilling role, you will provide high level professional support to the faculties, as well as projects and responsibilities related to quality assurance and quality enhancement initiatives.

To be successful you will need:

  • High level interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate confidently and knowledgeably with staff at all levels; demonstrated willingness and capacity to build effective networks in support of positive outcomes.
  • Experience in synthesising large amounts of information, both qualitative and quantitative, and in preparing written reports, minutes and discussion papers.
  • Demonstrated high-level analytical and problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and willingness to take responsibility for achieving effective outcomes.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgement and initiative in a dynamic and continuously evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to focus on outcomes in planning and developing effective changes to processes.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
