Casual Quality Assurance Dispatch Support Officer

We are currently looking for a Casual Quality Assurance Dispatch Officer.

What will I contribute? 

The focus of this position is to provide Quality Assurance assistance to the Direk RDC team. The role will also involve providing support within the Dispatch/Distribution teams when required. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Quality Assurance 

• Conduct Harvest mark quality assessments on incoming and outgoing products against customer specifications.
• Escalate & regularly communicate any non-conforming (OOS) stock in a timely manner to Shift Supervisor.
• Prepare daily product retention samples / undertake shelf life assessments.
• Assist in site GMP checks to ensure that GMP, HACCP and Food Safety compliance. 

RDC Dispatch Operations Support (when required)

• Assisting with the effective receival, transfer, labelling and dispatch of stock.
• Stock for distribution is identified, quality assessed, prepared and stored consistent with customer expectations and food safety standards.

What do I need for the role? 

Essential requirements

• A thorough understanding of Quality Assurance systems including HACCP and GMP
• Ability to work extended hours including weekends as required.
• Proficiency with Quality control software platforms / Microsoft Office applications.
• Sound knowledge of stock control and logistics operations.
• Practical knowledge and experience in a FMCG operational environment
• Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills / has a “can do attitude.”
• Works well under pressure and can meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of and experience in the fresh produce industry.
• Team player / works well within a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering a high level of service.

Desirable skills

• Current LF (high risk) forklift license.
• Manual stock handling capability when required.
