This role reports to Superintendent Electrical Maintenance Analysis and Improvement and is a Permanent position on a 40-hour week DIDO from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities. This role will be offered on a 9-day fortnightly basis.
The Senior EngineerElectrical Reliability performs a business-critical role within the refinery maintenance team providing leadership and technical assurance to Refinery asset management and maintenance. This role will be responsible for driving improvements in asset availability and manage asset lifecycle of HV and LV electrical power systems.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Build effective equipment maintenance tactics & associated documentation to align with Asset Care Plan & Electrical system optimisation
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting electrical issues, analysing failures and developing effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance to relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulation.
- Champion a safety focussed culture, conducting risk -assessments and following proper change management procedures.
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Several years' experience as Electrical Engineer in mining or heavy industry and with Maintenance/Reliability Engineering experience
- Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of Generators, power transformers, transmission lines, HV and LV switchgears, VVFDs/soft starters, Protection relays, switchyards, battery chargers and UPS.
- Perform protection relay configuration, protection and metering scheme design, implementation and testing.
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity desirable.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Graduate Certificate in Asset Management (Desirable)
