Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client’s Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.
The Role:
Initially this position will focus on a major project with a tier 1 client, which is gearing up for execution next month. Your role will be to assist with all relevant approvals, providing relevant environmental approvals advice and inputs. The position will evolve throughout the year, working across a bigger portfolio of work within various stages of the project lifecycle. Some of your day to day will include;
- Develop, review, and maintain environmental compliance documentation including environmental management plans, heritage procedures, monitoring plans and risk register
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and Traditional Owner groups, on specific environmental approvals
- Ensure environmental management activities are delivered in a manner that is compliant with the relevant and applicable state
Thrive with us! We hope you'll bring:
- A strong understanding of various approval types and associated information required for each
- Mining and resources project experience, ideally projects based in the Pilbara and surrounds
- A Tertiary qualification in an environmental discipline or a related field
- Excellent technical writing skills, attention to detail and an ability to interpret and problem solve complex issues
- Project management skills that have helped to achieve high quality delivery outcomes for approvals
