Technical Resources are working with several reputable engineering consultancies and major clients in the mining and resources space.
We have 2 positions that will suit mid to senior level Environmental Advisors below.
Senior Environmental Advisor
About the client
- Diverse provider of engineering, consulting, project delivery and construction management
- 20 years' experience in EPCM project delivery, and design/execution of major projects in the mining and resource sector
About the role
- Working across their clients' portfolio, initially focusing on a major project setup
- Reviewing the construction environmental management plan (CEMP) and relevant approvals
- Role will evolve after initial project, and the individual will take on a more varied role through the wider portfolio
Experience/Requirements
- A strong understanding of various approval types and associated information required for each
- A Tertiary qualification in an environmental discipline or a related field
- Excellent technical writing skills, attention to detail and an ability to interpret and problem solve complex issues
- Good experience with engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and Traditional Owner groups, on specific environmental approvals
- Can develop, review, and maintain environmental compliance documentation
Site Environmental Advisor (mid level or senior level)
About the client

- 20 years' experience in EPCM project delivery, and design/execution of major projects in the mining and resource sector
About the role
- 2:1 roster, iron ore mine in the Pilbara region of WA
- Position reports into a HS Manager and will have a back to back Senior Environmental Advisor
- You will be responsible for the overall collection of site data, managing permits and approvals and conduct regular risk and compliance inspections.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project induction and environmental management systems training
- Development and management of site environmental plans in accordance with legislation and company standards
- Provide general environmental advice and support for site-based construction and operations staff
- Conduct site audits and report the outcomes and recommendations to the
- Construction & Project Managers
Experience/Requirements
- Previous experience in a FIFO/Site based role, working in an EPCM environment
- Minimum of 3 years site experience in a similar position
- Experience in processing land disturbance GIS data
- Knowledge of permits and approvals and conducting regular risk and compliance inspections
