Aurora Dairies are currently seeking a Senior Farm Hand for a dairy farm in SE South Australia, located 20 minutes from Mount Gambier.
The farm is approximately 500ha effective area with 263ha under centre pivot irrigation, currently milking 1150 Friesian cows, through a 50 bail rotary shed with ACR’s, auto teat spray and auto drafting. GEA Dairy Plan is used for herd recording and the farm is predominantly pasture based with grain fed in the dairy. This farm is 40% Autumn and 60% Spring calving starting in February and August.

This role will include tasks the areas of:
- Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures.
- All aspects of milking.
- Animal husbandry.
- Pasture management.
- Machinery operation.
- Repairs and maintenance.
The desired skills and experience for this opportunity are:
- Past dairy industry experience is highly desirable for this position, but we may consider inexperienced applicants with the right attitude at Farm Hand level.
