Troocoo are currently partnering with a dynamic and innovative Mining company based in Brisbane’s CBD, on a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join their Dynamic and busy team. This is a full time permanent position based in the CBD, Monday to Friday, with potential for 2 days work from home, offering a very attractive salary of $100,000 + Super
Our client is offering great working environment convenient CBD location close to public transport in the heart of the city with great cafes and shops close by, the successful candidate will have the pleasure of working alongside a very hands on supportive manager who allows their team to work autonomously.
The Senior Finance Officer will oversee the main accounts functions, and is primarily responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable function. Initially this candidate will need to help with a large back log of work, including clearing out over due PO’s and establishing reporting and re establishing new systems and process to ensure the accounts function can run more smoothly moving forward.
Within this position you will have the opportunity to broaden your skills and expand your knowledge whilst working across a range of finance functions and truly making this role your own.
Duties include but are not limited to:

• Manage the day to day financial operations of the organisation, including accounts payable, accounts receivable
• Monthly reconciliation of supplier and contractor statements
• Review credit card acquittals and ensure that the relevant supporting documentation has been provided by staff and that content has been coded correctly;
• Matching Purchase Orders
• Trouble shooting
• Respond to internal and external customer enquiries regarding payment terms, tax compliance, business name registrations and invoice payments
• Generation of daily EFT run and bi-weekly payment runs
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reporting and statements.
• Sound knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
