Senior Finance Officer - A06 Government Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer at the A06 level to assist the Finance Manager with preparation of management reports and budgets.About the jobOur client is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to become a key member of their team for a 6 month contract, working 2 days per week from home. Office CBD location.The role

• Assist with the preparation of management reports and budgets.
• Provide support in budget analysis and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and legislation.
• Liaise with other departments or external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Support the team through process improvements.
• Assist the team with adhoc analysis and stakeholder queries.
• Work as part of a team to ensure invoices received through the group mailbox are managed to meet payment deadlines.

The Skills and experience required

• Overseeing corporate budgets.
• Experience using applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
• Understanding of financial concepts.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stay focused on high-volume repetitive tasks.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferably some experience with S4/HANA and SAP Fiori Finance Systems although not mandatory.
