SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER
Purpose of the Position:
Working closely with the Chief Finance Officer, this role will be a mixture of owning the end-to-end transacting, daily bookkeeping for 2 smaller companies within the group, and financial administration of business and tax accounting procedures.
This will be a contract position for a four-six month period.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
- for 2 small companies within the Group:
- Processing purchase orders and related sales invoices of product.
- Processing purchase invoices.
- Preparation of sales invoices.
- Preparation of EFT payment runs.
- Preparation of monthly trading accounts.
- Group
- Checking and processing of corporate credit card expenses and expense claims using the ProSpend system.
Financial Administration:
- Preparation and submission of Group BAS.
- Preparation and submission of Group Fringe Benefit Tax.
- Support admin team in the set-up of debtor & creditor accounts, GL allocations, and journal adjustments or problem-solving transactional issues.
- Treatment of accruals/provisions for month end closing.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Assistance with and preparation of annual budgets.
- Preparation of year end accounts and supporting work-papers for external auditors.

- Ability to interface with external parties for tax, payroll and reporting duties.
- Able to demonstrate commitment to teamwork and assist staff with patience and understanding.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Diploma in accounting; Certificate IV in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Degree will be advantageous.
- 5 years practical experience.
- Knowledge of ERP Systems; PRONTO experience essential.
- Demonstrate strong software and general IT skills, e.g., advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
