About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Undertake complex costings relating to Enterprise Bargaining and other initiatives for all departmental labour groups.
- Contribute to the preparation of the department's general and specific purpose financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards, relevant financial management legislation and Treasury and departmental guidelines.
- Implement and maintain budget policies, procedures and practices that facilitate and contribute to improved workforce resource allocation and financial management within the department.
- Prepare financial reconciliations, raising journal entries and working papers and implementing appropriate policies, systems, procedures and practices to ensure the integrity of the department's general ledger and budget development systems.
- Provide analysis and advice on organisational and business unit financial and budgetary performance and financial management, including the preparation of content for monthly governance and business reporting.
