ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and support various operational and strategic initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our organisation's success in the ANZ region.
Main responsibilities include:
- Manage lease accounting and tax obligations to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee monthly financial reporting and conduct insightful variance analysis.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise ledger transactions and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and audit activities to foster financial health.
- Review and perform month-end Profit and Loss variance analysis before Month end closing.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditor.
- Ensure the process compliance and accuracy of Creditor, Debtors, and Bank ledgers.
- Manage Accounting and Tax Fixed assets register including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Reconcile and submit GST returns for Australia and New Zealand.
- Execute month-end journals accurately and timely.
- Support forecasting and budgeting processes with detailed expense analysis.
- Provide supervision and support to external Associates and Senior Associates responsible for processing all ledger transactions.
- Ensure the process compliance and accuracy of Creditor, Debtors, and Bank ledgers.
- Review and finalize the accounts payable payment runs to ensure all payment proposals are correctly uploaded prior to approval.
ABOUT YOU
- Degree in accounting, experience in a top-tier accounting firm preferred.
- CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in technical financial accounting and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with lease accounting (IFRS16).
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Concur, Lease system, TM1, and other BI systems).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
