We offer a range of finance solutions including white label, joint venture arrangements and floor plan finance. Our proprietary loan origination system supports our dealers and distributors to facilitate seamless, convenient and customer focussed finance solutions for consumers and businesses.

Due to continued growth of our business, we have exciting opportunities for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our collaborative Financial Planning & Advisory team! Initially this will be for a 12 month period, however, Allied Credit is rapidly growing and there is a good chance there may be permanent opportunities arising over the next year.

Role Description

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager this position will focus on the financial processes and reporting for the group companies. The role will also involve supporting the wider team with change management and process improvement to deliver standardised, group level reporting. The role will work closely with the treasury and cash operations functions and will involve close co-ordination to ensure reporting quality, punctuality and presentation are continually improved.

Responsibilities

• Own several Joint Ventures within the Group, including Trusts.

• Ownership of month-end financial close, including journal preparation and posting, TB Review, financial statements and reporting dashboard preparation, and executive summary.

• Ownership of Accounting policy and technical accounting updates and processes, including working with stakeholders to create and define and implement new policies.

• Support of financial processes, including month end reconciliations and statistics reporting and balance sheet assurance processes.

• Ensure deadlines for monthly board reporting are met for group and JV partners.

• Budget and forecasting reporting, including commentary and variance analysis on board packs.

• Hands-on with overseeing transactional accounting work.

• Quarterly regulatory reporting to APRA.

• Preparation of annual statutory accounts.

• Liaise with external auditors and assist annual auditing.

• Quarterly reporting improvements and external investor communication support.

Who are you?

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting with CA or CPA accreditation.

• Solid experience in overall general accounting, ideally from a retail finance industry/non-bank finance company, or/and working for a large accounting consultancy firm.

• Experience in preparing and reporting Group consolidated accounts; experience of Listed Group reporting would be highly valued.

• Strong technical accounting skills with Australian GAAP and IFRS is required to demonstrate experience of writing and implementing accounting standards into company policy and processes.

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to build and deliver effective presentations.

• Understanding of structured finance/securitisation and financial instruments including swaps would be beneficial.

• Experience in medium/large ERP system (e.g. Sage Intacct) would be viewed favourably.
