Our client is looking for an experience accountant who has a broad background who can cover both fund accounting and corporate accounting functions. The role could be appointed on a permanent full time basis or adapted to a part time position for the right candidate. The role will perform a key function in overseeing external service providers in the production of reporting and tax obligations.
Key responsibilities include:-
- Overseas the preparation of monthly management reports using
- investment reporting system and excel;
- Prepare income tax return calculations;
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including multiple complex
- intercompany reconciliations;
- Manage audits of super funds, AFSL and charity entities;
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and maintain APX;
- Trade processing and input into investment reporting system;
- Managing collection and recording of external valuations;
- Administration tasks including management of banking, BAS and FBT
- preparation and lodgment, petty cash and record keeping.
- Ad-hoc assistance and reporting for the Accounting and Investment team where necessary
Self-motivated, responsive, organised, have the ability to meet deadlines, and be able to work in a small team, with a flexible attitude to change and processes.
Ideally the candidate will have experience working in a fund or wealth management firm in the past where fund reporting and corporate accounting functions are merged.
