ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior HR Client Services Officer in the Customer Contact Centre is part of a small, customer focused team which responds for, or redirects, the majority of HR related enquiries for the Department. The Senior HR Client Services position is a diverse role with a client-centric focus. Duties include:

  • Hands on management of the HR enquiry team, including assisting team members with complex issues and providing advice across the full scope of HR activities
  • Managing a small team of three
  • Providing training and coaching to team members
  • Maintaining web platforms for HR related content
  • Project work as required
  • Other duties as they arise in this dynamic environment.

To be successful in this role, you will be an excellent communicator and team player with a strong desire to assist people and will:
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude
  • Have experience in HR in at least one of the following areas - payroll, industrial relations or employee relations or other, related area areas and be able to come up with solutions to complex problems.
  • Have broad experience across a range of HR related activities, including but not limited to, interpreting and explaining entitlements from a variety of awards and agreements; payroll and HR system activities; sound knowledge and experience in using a HR Information Management System, etc
  • Have the ability to coach and train staff
  • Be technologically savvy and comfortable learning new software
  • Think outside the box and can identify service improvement areas and come up with solutions
  • But most of all… Have a fun bubbly personality, who strives to work in a good team environment

  • Demonstrated intermediate computer skills in working with a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office, web platforms, such as SharePoint, and other programs, such as Content Manager, Ascender, etc.
