Senior Insurance Manager

As a result of this growth, they are looking to recruit the newly created permanent role of Senior Insurance Manager. Once appointed, there is scope to recruit and build a small team. 
Reporting into the business unit lead, the Senior Insurance Manager will lead the delivery of insurance services across the company, while engaging and influencing across wider Operations, Finance/Accounting, Legal, Risk and Compliance. 
Responsibilities will include:

• Cultivating a culture that emphasises insurance's role within group risk management, and actively engaging and influencing leaders across the group. 
• Develop and execute insurance strategy, lead the annual insurance renewal process, and undertake insurance projects to ensure optimal company position.
• Manage renewals, inquiries, claims, and reporting.
• Oversee the integration of new assets from an insurance perspective, evaluate necessary changes and effective tender processes.
• Lead and maintain relationships with insurers, brokers, strategic advisers, and peers within the insurance market.
• Develop and refine insurance policies, procedures, and guidelines. 

The ideal candidate for this role is a senior specialist (10-15+ years exp.) in Risk Management and Insurance, preferably with relevant experience gained through complex organisations and sectors including professional services, infrastructure, logistics, energy, manufacturing, and resources. 
Given the seniority of this role, it is important for the ideal candidate to have experience leading annual insurance renewal and management of a relevant group insurance portfolio. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to engage and influence outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
