In this role you will:
• Have the opportunity to investigate serious contraventions in the Victoria energy industry.
• Help to improve the provision of essential services for all Victorians, and
• lead your own investigations and support the commission's strategic investigations and enforcement outcomes.
Position details
The commission is responsible for ensuring compliance with Victoria's energy rules, including investigating and enforcing contraventions of energy laws.
The Senior Investigator leads investigations and makes recommendations to enable the commission to decide enforcement matters. The Senior Investigator also prepares legal briefs and works with internal and external legal experts to take action as appropriate.
The position is in the Energy Division, which is responsible for supporting the commission to regulate Victorian electricity and gas businesses. The Energy Division's key role supports an innovative and efficient energy market and to ensure better performance from our energy companies.
