About the role:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Management Accountant is responsible for the provision of overall financial management advice and related services to the client portfolio, supporting the achievement of client business and service delivery objectives.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, align and execute financial and business strategies, client service plans and annual budgets;
• Conduct proactive financial and business analysis, coordinating with the Finance Manager to develop strategies and plans;
• Support the Finance Manager in preparing business cases guiding the selection and prioritisation of client portfolio strategies;
• Participate in financial planning sessions with client executive leadership to understand current issues and future requirements;
• Manage the operational delivery of financial advice and services to client business units;
• Lead budgetary control activities, including expenditure analysis and providing advice on fiscal accountability mechanisms;
• Provide reporting, commentary and analysis of business unit performance against objectives and KPIs;
• Build and maintain strong working relationships as a trusted financial advisor to client executive leadership; and
• Support the Finance Manager in implementing strategic continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company objectives.

Candidate profile:

The ideal candidate holds a postgraduate degree in accounting or a related field, with substantial experience in financial management and analysis. Membership in a professional institution such as CPA or CA is essential. You will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, adept at building productive relationships with stakeholders. You will have expertise in providing strategic financial advice and solutions.
