About the role
Are you a seasoned marketing professional with a passion for driving creative excellence, streamlining processes and maximizing advertising impact? Officeworks is seeking a skilled Senior Manager – Marketing Operations on a 9-month Fixed Term contract to lead our advertising planning, production creative implementation and optimisation across all key channels, including catalogue, in-store, digital paid advertising and retail media.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the advertising production processes and creative implementation across marketing channels, including catalogue, in-store, digital, paid advertising and retail media
- Manage alignment with both internal studio and external agencies to ensure seamless execution of campaigns, seasonal events, and customer moments.
- Oversee a production budget exceeding 2.5million, ensuring cost efficiency and value maximization.
- Spearhead the transition from traditional to digital channels, supporting the ongoing evolution of digital marketing strategies
- Own the end to end campaign management process across all elements of the marketing mix to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Manage agency deliverables and timelines to ensure high-quality results that meet expectations and financial KPI’s
- Act as a key brand custodian across all creative outputs, collaborating closely with the Head of Marketing and Head of Brand to deliver best-in-class advertising.
- Support the Customer Marketing team in developing creative and communications strategies that align with marketing objectives.
- Lead the Local Area Marketing (LAM) program, developing local marketing strategies that drive business and customer objectives.
About you
You will possess 15+ years of experience in marketing operations, with expertise in catalogue, media, and in-store communications and a proven track record of hands-on experience in running and managing teams, both internal and agency.
Further skills will include:
- Strong understanding of retail and customer experience principles.
- Extensive knowledge of the current and potential media landscape.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong negotiation abilities and the ability to drive efficiencies in processes.
- Experience with Lean principles/methodology is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize against deadlines.
- Ability to extend creative ideas from agency partners and ensure alignment with brand objectives.
