This leading is seeking a Senior Change and Communications Manager to take responsibility for the design, development and execution of change initiatives to support specific projects, and the assessment of projects to determine appropriate change resourcing and effort.
Your brand new role will see you as part of the leadership team, taking on responsibility for people management and leadership for up to 12 Change & Communications resources. You will have the flexibility to work at both at a strategic and planning level, and at service delivery level to support the achievement of project outcomes.
Key activities
- Assess project start up documentation and business cases to recommend appropriate change management approaches and resourcing as an input to project planning
- Lead and manage a team of up to 12 Change & Comms Managers, including recruitment; development & coaching; people and performance management
- Fulfil a quality assurance role over change management and communications artefacts and activities
- Engage with stakeholders in the change management context, delivering change management support, particularly communications
- Develop and implement the Change Management Strategy and relevant plans to drive positive acceptance and adoption of change, and rapid take up of new technologies, processes or operating models
- Provide strategic support and advice to leaders and stakeholders on how to effectively engage and communicate about upcoming change
- Identify and address change management issues and risks.
- Provide leadership and input into the effectiveness of Change Management methodologies and strategies
Skills and experience
- Significant experience in a technology project Change Management environment
- Experience in the leadership and management of change management resources, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development
- Extensive experience in assessing Change Readiness and evaluating the implementation of Change initiatives
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships both internal and external to the organisation, including the ability to build consensus and influence in negotiations across a broad audience
- Experience in various communications channels including digital, workshop facilitation and creative collateral
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, judgement and negotiation skills
- Sound understanding of Change Management and Project Management methodologies and their application; Change Management certifications will be highly regarded
