Full time, fixed term up until May 2026Contribute to university-wide Strategic Projects and initiativesBase Salary $135,820 - $143,310 + 17% superannuationHybrid working arrangements available, and travel requirements to Western Sydney regions is dependent on business needsAbout the opportunityWe are now hiring for a Senior Marketing Specialist to support the Strategic Projects and initiatives occurring within the University of Sydney!The Senior Marketing Specialist will develop, implement, and manage the marketing communications strategies to support University-wide strategic project and initiatives, through collaboration with stakeholders across multiple areas. A large focus for this position will be contribution to the currentYour key responsibilities will be to:Develop and implement marketing communications strategies to support strategic initiatives and to enhance the University’s reputation and brand position, with a particular focus on the University’s Western Sydney strategymanage the development of marketing communications campaigns, content and collateral to support and drive strategic initiatives and campaignsprovide expert advice and guidance regarding issues in the tertiary education environment, emerging marketing communications trends and industry best practice, and ensure they are reflected in marketing communications strategiesdesign and implement evaluation protocols for marketing communications initiatives. Disseminate evaluation data and recommend and implement refinements.About youHold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or a combination of equivalent training and professional experienceprevious professional experience working in a Marketing Specialist role or equivalent for a large, complex organisationextensive experience in developing and executing integrated brand and product marketing communications campaigns across a broad range of media channels and mediumswell-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications as needed for target audiencesproficient in using content management systems and utilisation of digital/ social media marketing platforms.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.Pre-employment checksYour employment is conditional upon the completion of all roles required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University.
