About the Role This is a brand new position for our business and brings with it a real opportunity to make it your own. You will supervise a remote team of allied health receptionists and be responsible for ensuring that our Mates and their families have the best possible experience at Mates4Mates. The key accountabilities of the role include: Provide guidance, training, and support to allied health receptionists staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement. Provide an outstanding level of customer service in person and over the phone to clients, visitors, and stakeholders, including referrers. Communicate effectively with all team members, stakeholders and clients and ensure correspondence is dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner to support safe client care. Manage appointment calendars and the administration of client files for a team of Allied Health Providers. Perform client invoicing and reconciliation; including but not limited to NDIS, Medicare, DVA and Bupa ADF Health Services with a high level of accuracy. Able to work unsupervised in a busy environment and with a geographically dispersed team. Reporting to the Business Support Manager, this is a full time, permanent position based at our Ipswich Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre. Essential for Success: 5 years’ experience working in a medical, mental health and/ or allied health setting. A Certificate IV in Health Administration or a similar qualification Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and practice management systems such as MMex or Best Practice Sound understanding of allied health services and billing through Medicare, DVA and NDIS. Proven experience as supervisor, team leader or similar role. A demonstrated ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanour when liaising with clients who may be experiencing crisis or are vulnerable, including maintaining appropriate boundaries. Ability to use initiative and to be proactive with tasks as well as taking ownership of deliverables. Flexibility in approach to work when unplanned demands conflict with meeting deadlines. Ability to maintain a valid working with children card Current drivers' licence and ability to travel for work where required Advantageous Relevant history of training and/or service in the ADF or a close connection; or demonstrated experience working with current or ex-service personnel in a similar role which has created a strong understanding of the issues facing veterans and their families. Demonstrated experience managing and motivating a remote working team.
