We are recruiting for a Senior Medical Receptionist to join our administration team with future opportunities to grow. This is a preferrably a full-time role, or part-time options are available for the right candidate.

Primary tasks
- leading the reception team and attending to patient queries
- supervising appointment books for practitioners including scheduling, rescheduling and appointment confirmations
- oversee opening and closing of practice
- check-in patients on arrival for appointments
- process patient billings, oversee Medicare claims and rejections, account reconciliations
- oversee data entry integrity and processing
- handling physical and electronic correspondence
- office supplies stock control
- assist with staff training and development
Essential experience
- minimum 2-3 years experience in General Practice reception/administration, preferably in a Senior Medical Receptionist capacity
- sound knowledge of Best Practice and Microsoft Office programs, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
- ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong customer service skills
- good time management and ability to multitask
Desirable attributes
- training in management of emergencies, handling complaints, basic infection control, safe handling and disposal of medical waste.
Must be available to work business hours Monday to Friday and some Saturdays.
