Our client is seeking a Senior Medical Receptionist for an immediate start. You will have the pleasure of working with a vibrant and like-minded team providing administration support for leading Paediatric Specialists within their private clinic.
This Senior Medical Receptionist role is very fulfilling. In the role, your duties will include handling all emails, scans, and liaising with the doctors for other administration duties as required. This is primarily an administrative role, so attention to detail is a must!
As a valued team member, you will also have the continued gratitude and utmost respect from the specialists. You assist them in navigating their busy schedules, so they can ensure they are delivering the best possible care to the patients and their families.
HOURS: Monday to Thursday between the hours of 8.30 am - 5.00 pm (30 hours per week)
Responsibilities include the following:
- Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Manage busy telephone line.
- Utilise the clinic software system (Xestro) effectively - Training provided.
- Managing all incoming emails, scans, and other administrative tasks
- Follow-up patient results.
- Record appropriate information on new clients.
- Bill patients and receipting
- Operate EFTPOS machines.
- Receive and convey messages accurately in writing, verbally, and electronically.
- Liaise with clinic medical staff, allied health institutions, and professionals.
- Data entry
- Admin and mail duties
- Oversee other receptionist staff.
- Adhere to end-of-day procedures.
- Undertake banking reconciliation processes at end of day.
To be considered for this role you will possess the following:
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy (Xestro preferred, but not essential)
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills
- Respect for patient confidentiality
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Previous experience working in a busy medical practice.
- Professional mature outlook
