Form of workAbility OT is seeking a talented and motivated senior clinician to join our Brisbane Team.
An exciting opportunity for full time or part time employment exists in our Bulimba clinic. This position is open to senior clinicians with a minimum of 5-years clinical experience.
The successful candidate will be someone who:
- Is passionate about occupational therapy and Neurological Rehabilitation.
- Is seeking a supportive team to foster their clinical skill development to a higher level.
- Has a desire to share knowledge and inspire junior clinicians.
Ability OT is a community-based rehabilitation provider that offers occupational therapy services for people with catastrophic injuries and complex neurological conditions - including acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis and stroke. We also provide high quality services to clients diagnosed with Younger Onset Dementia.
We are a team of highly skilled Occupational Therapists with a strong focus on supporting the development of our staff through regular individual and team supervision, continuing professional development opportunities and caseload variety. We offer flexibility in work arrangements to help our team successfully balance work/life demands.
What the role involves:
- Conducting OT assessments including initial rehabilitation, care needs assessment, neurological specific assessment, vocational, environmental and equipment needs assessment.
- Developing and implementing rehabilitation programs to assist our clients to meet their goals.
- Provision of home and clinic-based rehabilitation programs
- Supervision of junior clinicians and leading a small team within the practice.
The ideal candidate:
- AHPRA Registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in community /clinical rehabilitation with neurological conditions an advantage, but not essential.
- Experience working within the NDIS framework an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and high-level communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Current Open Driver's licence
- A team player with enthusiasm to contribute to the growth of the service and grow professionally.
- Demonstrated leadership skills that foster the clinical development of junior clinicians.
