Senior Officer

An AO5 Senior Revenue Officer - Level 1 vacancy is available in the Processing and Assessments division of the Queensland Revenue Office.

You will analyse, interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy on revenue and taxation matters.

Key Accountabilities Of The Role Are

• Respond to technical enquiries both in writing and over the phone, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
• Analyse and interpret bulk data to identify risks and support treatment strategies.
• Contribute to workforce management planning and coordinating staff workloads.
• Coach and mentor staff including identify training needs and coordinating development activities.
• Analyse, interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy on complex revenue and taxation matters within a client focused team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• High level interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated capability to use information to improve work practices that support a high performing team.
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of digital and data technology/ systems.
• Ability to review and analyse data and legislation to make sound decisions.
• Understanding of the principles of risk-based decision making.
